We're following up on Episode 7! Tune in and continue our discussion with Mr. Ible and Uncle Berry (walking hard drives of musical knowledge) on samples and the art of sampling. We'll be looking at a few examples from the 80s and 90s, as well as hearing unrestrained opinions about today's music from our guests!
According to Uncle Berry, pairing an iconic sample with terrible lyrics is just a way for an artist to promote their song. In other words, there is a right and a wrong way to use a sample. It's all about artistic vision, to be honest. What did you think of this week's episode? What are your favorite samples? Drop your comments below!
